2024 Scholarship Awardees

In the spring of 2024, the Foundation awarded a total of $29,470 in scholarships from eight different funds, including $14,800 from the Northport Promise Scholarship Fund:

  • Dashel Courson of Northport Public School, recipient of four scholarships:

    • The Annette Viger Taber Memorial Scholarship

    • The Florence L. Hanes Scholarship

    • The Kreig Leabo Memorial Scholarship

    • The Winfield H. & Dr. Grace Song Line Scholarship

  • Daniel Lint of Suttons Bay High School, recipient of the Anson and Ruth Solem Science Scholarship

  • Mallory Lowe of Leland High School, recipient of the Ann Schmittling Memorial Scholarship

  • Laura Christianson of the University of Michigan (and formerly Northport Public School), recipient of the Edwin Suddard and Ruth Kellogg Suddard Scholarship (Year 2)


The Northport Promise

Northport Promise Scholarships are renewable through four years of college (in and out of the state of Michigan) as long as students maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete at least 12 credits or more a semester.
